Ravenhearst

VENDOR INFORMATION

Thank you for your interest in Lexington, Kentucky's annual medieval celebration.

It will be held 17 June ~ 2 July 2000. We will be open Saturday - Sunday 10am - 6pm. This will be a joyful celebration of life in the middle ages. We will be trying to re-enact the middle ages, being fairly accurate while allowing some fantasy license. There WILL be a "story" to our faire. It will be sent in your acceptance packet so that you may prepare!! All our participants will be required to be in period garb and to remain in character when in the view of the patrons. Experienced rennies will know what to wear, but there will be plenty of help for newbies. We will be holding workshops prior to the festival. Depending upon your experience, or lack thereof, you may be required to attend. We will notify you if attendance will be required.

All merchandise to be sold must at least appear to be made in the middle ages. We are going to limit the number of vendors offering the same kind of merchandise. For this reason, we need to know everything you plan to sell in your booth. We require pictures showing each kind of item. Pictures may show multiple items. We are trying to avoid 10 booths with dragon claw necklaces and 10 booths with porcelain mugs. However, if YOUR dragon claw or mug is special, tell us this. Be as descriptive as possible when filling out the application.

FYI: Ravenhearst is a non-profit organization trying to raise funds to build an animal sanctuary. The funds from this festival are going to be used to purchase land for the sanctuary. On this site, we will build a permanent festival site. All our first year vendors will be invited to either build a permanent structure or reserve a permanent spot for future tent space. We are also going to be offering web space to our vendors/performers; email and other perks. More details will be included in your acceptance package!

In order to insure the seriousness of an application, we will require a deposit of $50 to be submitted with your application. This will be applied to your fees when accepted. In the event you are not accepted, you will receive a full refund with your letter of decline. You will be notified within 30 days of receipt of your application. We are very committed to making this a very successful festival for our vendors. We plan to do extensive advertising, most of which will include listings of the merchandise you will offer. Due to this, it would be to your advantage to send in your fees as soon as you are able to be included in as much advertising as possible.
