Here Ye! Here Ye! The Lady of Ravenhearst is challenging all students to a great contest to build the best catapult.
Catapults may be made out of any material of the builders choosing but must conform to the following regulations:
The catapult must be made of materials that were available in the middle ages
The actual working model must not exceed 3' in any dimension.
There must be two scale models made: one to be put on display during the festival [location(s) TBA] and one to be auctioned off to the highest bidder during The Grand Feast [details TBA]
Catapults will be judged on the following criteria:
Authenticity ~ looks as if it were actually made in the middle ages.
Workmanship ~ judged to be able to withstand an actual battle
Effectivness ~ judged strongest
Prizes will be awarded in the following categories:
Middle School, High School, College.
We encourage fraternaties and school clubs to challenge each other in this contest...Think of the braggin' rights ya could bring home to YOUR school/group!!
Prizes will be:
1st Place $100 cash to team...plus $100 to the school
2nd Place $ 75 cash to team...plus $ 75 to the school
3rd Place $ 50 cash to team...plus $ 50 to the school
